Playing For Pizza

I finished reading the book Playing for Pizza by John Grisham and I just have to say that I love his books. I like his books about the law, but I love his books about other things. Bleachers is another great one as well as Skipping Christmas. They are just fun, fast reads, which is nice sometimes. Anyways, it is a great book, but beware, he doesn't wrap his endings up, they don't end happily ever after-but that is why I liked this book.

Bag Tag!

Well, I took this tag as an opportunity to declutter-I've been meaning to for a while, but meaning to doesn't get things done. I do quite well keeping my bag (diaper bag) clean until one piece of paper gets thrown in-forget organization.
here is the pile of junk I dumpled out of my bag-it sorta made me sick. There was also an unidentified dried spill in the bottom-yuck.

After I ditched the garbage, here's what's left. (left to right, top to bottom)
1)3 diapers-I do not need three, I rarely need one, but three it is!
2)Wipes
3)A teddy bear
4)Costco passport coupon book-essential.
5)A hat for William
6)An almost empty baby tylenol.
7)My wallet-I'm surprised it's in there, the one thing I need most-moolah!
8)A onesie
9)A Pacifier
10)A tampon-you never know when might need one!
11)3 assorted toys two of which William isn't into anymore
12)My appointment card for William's one year check (I have now written it in my planner and tossed the card)
13)A paint chip from lowes, that we didn't use-we picked a different color(who knows why it's still in there-baffling!)
14)A pair of earing (on the paint chip) that I took off one day-I can't remember when
15)Several forms of chapstick or lip gloss-probably too many.
16)A target gift card.
17)An ikea pencil
18)A penny (my total net worth)
19)A brochure on my eye insurance coverage
20)A "stats" sheet from the pediatrician from William's 9 month check (a month ago)
21)An unused prescription from that appontiment.

This is, of course, too many things. I didn't even have to try hard to pick what does and does not belong.
My bag is so much lighter and convenient-Thanks for the tag, Carrie!

I tag Clara, Mom(she can post it on my blog), and Ashley Landreth-Good Luck!

More Pictures!

If only William wasn't so photogenic, I might write more, but he's just so darn cute.
We have recently found that he is very ticklish on his chest and neck.
Dad's little helper, putting the bike trailer together.
The night this picture was taken, he fell asleep in Dave's arms after he got his jammies on, he was so tired.
This is last night, he should've been asleep, but...the picture tells the real story.
Here he is feeding himself a little medicine with a syringe:)

He just learned how to kiss back, right on the mouth!

A little corny...

So, moments like this (when I feel introspective and sappy) don't happen very often, at least not to me. I had a horrible night with William last night. He was screaming and crying and we couldn't figure out why, but the result is a very tired mommy, daddy, and william. I was just sitting here thinking that I was too tired to do anything today and that last night had sort of ruined my day. When I opened my blog the song Moonshadow started to play. Well, that is probably the most optimistic song ever, and I started to think I didn't lose my eyes, legs, etc (listen to the song). I just lost one night of sleep. And (now for the corniness) the only thing I could ever be truly sad about is losing my family. Even though William kept me up all night and I am achy and sore, I would never trade him. I am so glad to be a mother!

Playing in the Park and Other Adventures

Well, I have another long post filled with pictures. We took William to the park on what appeared to be a very nice day. It was actually freezing and windy. He was still good natured about it and we had fun.

I got him to smile by letting his feet hit me when he came forward. I used to do that with Marcus in our back yard and William liked it too! (Notice: His teeth are showing!)

An action shot...he wasn't sure about the wind in his face.

I got on the swing next to him. He thought watching me was more fun than swinging himself.

Here are William and Hailee with David. We just started watching Hailee a couple days during the week for a couple of hours. William thinks it is the best thing ever. She is almost as excited as William when Dave comes home from work, she loves Dave.

I just think this is a cute close-up. It reminded me of the pictures Dad took of us kids when we were little.

Here is our puppy dog again! This is his favorite thing to carry around.

He thinks it is hilarious if we put something on his head. He laughs and throws his head back. He is quite a character!

p.s. if you haven't viewed the video in our last post, it is a must see. every time we watch it we get the giggles:)

We LOVE Aunt Bethy...

She makes William laugh. They have more fun together...
