Beach Time!

Last week was our annual Oregon Coast trip. We decided since we couldn't check in until Sunday, that we would take the longer, more scenic route. We had Nick and Beth with us, thankfully, it would've been so much longer without them. We made our way through Nevada, and into Oregon. We made the drive up the mountain to Crater Lake. It was so clear, the view was amazing.
My boys. Dave was so happy to go on a new adventure and see new things.

The next day we made the drive all the way around Crater Lake, it was a little smoky, but still wonderful. Then we were moved onward. We followed the Umpqua river to the coast, and made our way to Pacific City. We couldn't wait to get on the beach.

It is always shocking how cold the water is!

Sunday night we celebrated all of the recent birthdays. Dave (Aug1), Dad (July 24), Sammy (Aug29), Ben (Aug 30).

Monday the kids couldn't wait to get wet. Aunt Bethy was everyone's favorite playmate.

Dave trying out a skimboard, pretty good for his first time. Later on in the week, I did this too, although somehow, I look crazy and out of control when I do it.

This Christmas my parents got everyone wetsuits for Christmas, and Dave decided that William needed one too. It kept him warm down on the beach, and next year, I think it will get some water time too.

Here are mom and dad. I didn't take these pictures, but by the look of them I have a pretty good guess that it was Marcus.
They are really good pictures-thanks.

We went to the tidepools, William wasn't sure about it, but he was curious.

They went through the cave.

Here we are!

Where the tidepools are, is also where the dory boats come in.

This was the days catch for that dory boat.

My dad wanted to climb the sand dune by the tidepools, so most everybody went up.

William climbed up with Poppy and Aunt Bethy.

This is Nick's favorite pose. He got Bethany and me to do it once at Crater Lake too.

This one's for Marcus. He jumped off a "cliff" and I captured the moment.

The boys made Marcus do a faith drop-good thing they caught him, since it's so, so high:)

Mitchell and William, the babies. Mitchell stole William's pacifier and is examining it (of course), and William is examining Mitchell and wondering why he no longer has his bink.

Here is everyone up on the dune, and some strangers who are also in the picture. Stella and Chloe went all the way to the top and back up half way several times-what energy!

When we were all done with the sand dune fun, William was so tired, he couldn't hold his head up.

Ben and Carrie got this toy for Sammy, and William was enthralled by it.

The eight of us.

The entire Andros clan.

Nanny and Poppy coloring with William, this was the first time William has colored and noticed that he is making marks on the paper!

Everyone took turns on the Wii Fit. William was hilarious.

Our last day down on the beach Marcus, Bethany, and I took over the skimboards. We had a ton of fun.

The kids played with bubbles on the beach and William learned how to say bubbles-so cute.

We are a wetsuit family!

William is too cool for school!

Somehow William got a mysterious burn the last day at the beach, he never cried, and doesn't even care if we touch it.

After all the fun (and 2500 miles on the car and 35 hours IN the car), we are EXHAUSTED (as pictured above). But we already can't wait until next year. Thanks mom and dad for the beach house and such a fun family.
