A Week Full of Fall Fun

We have had a fun, busy week.
This is William on Sunday-he went to nursery for part of the time with Dave and had lots of fun

I have had a hard time getting William to eat lunch recently-or sit in his highchair. On Tuesday, he took his nap without lunch and still wouldn't eat anything when he woke up. Finally, I gave him a piece of a stale cookie-because that's the kind of mother I am:) He ate it and watched the "bus" movie (animated wheels on the bus) and enjoyed himself all afternoon.

Thursday, Dave and William raked leaves while I stained our countertops (yahoo). William also got a balloon at the grocery store and it was his constant companion-it was easier to keep track of him that way.

They raked a pile as tall as William!

I love this little guy-he is a beautiful little kid.

We had the Taylors over for dinner on Halloween, and we made scones-this picture is for mom, how do I make them prettier next time?

William ready for trick-or-treating. He carried his bag (dragged it) and wouldn't let anyone help! He learned to say, "candy," which was no surprise!

Today we were busy working outside-it was a beautiful, breezy day. William follows our neighbors cat around and laughs at her-it is pretty funny, except when the cat gets mad. He now says, "cat," and "meow" this is an improvement, because he used to call her puppy.
This is also a good picture of his cowboy boots-he struts around in them like he is soemthing else:)

Dave's project for the day was the garden. He borrowed a rototiller, tilled (which was quite a job-he is sore), and then put railway ties in the garden and leveled out the beds. The raised beds were what Dave wanted, so that it would be more "orderly" next year. I am a free spirit when it comes to gardening, so being disorderly doesn't bother me so long as things grow, so I told Dave he could do whatever makes him happy. I am really excited though to have level beds so that the water will drain right next year-it will be a big improvement. Hooray!

Tomorrow we all need nice, long Sunday naps:)

Oh! I love his duck costume! Little kids make Halloween so much more fun! And I can completely picture you being a crayon - and I'm thinking you probably wouldn't need a hat because of your red hair :)

What a fun week! William looks so cute in his costume and in his new sweater! The scones look just right - whats makes them beautiful is the way they taste with butter and jam on them! Your garden will be wonderful next year. It looks pretty big - lots of weeding, but lots of yummy produce!

The sweater turned out adorable- everything you make turns out so cute. I love both that you've made for my kids.

Looks like William had fun on Halloween- what a cute little trick or treater he made.

Good luck with your upcoming Primary Program! Talking to your mom, it sounds like all the prep work has kept you very busy (and stressed). Hang in there- the end product is always worth all the work and then you can breathe easy until it all starts over again next year!
