It's a Pregnant Life

Being pregnant with twins is different...everything is a little more intense-the good and the bad. I thought before I get too uncomfortable, I should write what I love about being pregnant in general, and especially this time around.
31 weeks ( a little over a week ago, you can imagine what I look like now!)

1. I LOVE feeling the babies inside me, I cannot complain about being kicked and prodded, it's a truly magical feeling.
2. I have Dave home with me, this of course, is a blessing, because I can somewhat get the rest I need before delivery day. He takes care of everything-he's so kind and sweet.
3. I have William to keep me in line-he points to my lovely acne and cold sores and says, "owie, mommy" all over my face, you just can't be vain with a toddler.
He's getting more brave everyday-I wish he could have just a little fear:)

4. Gaining more weight is considered a good thing, and this means that technically I should eat 800-1000 EXTRA calories a day-no problem:)
5. I have a wonderful midwife who is my advocate, she listens, and takes care of our WHOLE family as we journey towards the end-what would the world do without CNMs?
6. SNOW-I used to eat snow while walking to elementary school, so it has been a long time-William likes to eat snow, so I joined him one day, I am hooked, as far as I'm concerned, it can snow until May (it's snowing today-yippee).
The snow had turned rather icy at this point, but it didn't stop us!

7. With twins I get to (have to) have lots of ultrasounds, and non-stress tests, but I really enjoy this, because I get to "see" them often, and see that they are healthy.
8. Hypnobirthing-this is not new this pregnancy, but the effect it has is still wonderful-instant calming and relaxation. No problems falling asleep at night for me!
9. We have enough house projects going on, that this pregnancy has gone by super duper fast. I love being pregnant, but it is nice to not sit around and twiddle my thumbs.
William seems to instinctively know how tools work

10. William keeps me entertained-constantly-I often wonder, what did we ever laugh at before he was born?
Wrapped up like a mummy at Grandpa's house.

11. Baby B has moved to the transverse position (he was feet down), although transverse is still breech, it is a step in the right direction.

We've had a few nice days, bless them! We love going outside.

You look so GREAT! I can't believe you're due so soon. And I also love your jumping-toddler pictures. What a cutie. And, I want to talk to you sometime about hypnobirthing and having a midwife and all that. It sounds very comforting and different. What a fun life you guys have!

I wouldn't think "twins" when I see the picture of you. You look great! Love William jumping in the buff - what a boy.

I agree with Mom- you are tiny, especially for twins and for being 32+ weeks. What's your secret? Maybe all the physical labor you've been doing on your house and chasing around an almost 2 year old. At any rate, you look so good. Boy, having a great excuse to eat 1000 extra calories a day- that's what every woman dreams of.

And tell William one of my favorite games is to jump off the couch naked, too. What a release!
