The past week

A lot has happened in the last week for us. It has been busy and fun and tiring. Here are some random samplings...

Cantaloup anyone? Since we moved into our apartment, I've had to start cooking-painful, I know. My solution to this-cantaloupe. It is my favorite plain food ever. Everyone enjoys it here on an almost daily basis.

This was not my idea, it was his, but he's not ready yet. I was really hoping that his desire and ability would coincide-not so far.

Over the last week I have been sore, as in like the first week or so you start nursing, that kind of sore. I guess this is the hazard of nursing twins. Yikes. Luckily, my babies will take a bottle with formula-bless them; I am all better now.
They've relied a lot on binkies.

and fingers (I was getting us ready to go to Utah-they were so patient)

Our trip to Utah was fun and fast and short. We rented a van, and consequently we decided a van is the kind of vehicle we should own. It is so convenient. I sat in the back with the kiddos and except for a few whines, cries, pukes, it was a really good trip there and back. We had so much fun visiting friends and playing with cousins and aunts and uncles. We can't wait for thanksgiving.

While there, we said goodbye to our quaint little house...we will miss copperton, but we were so glad to sign the papers and not have the house there hanging over our heads.
Today, after getting back last night, my house is an absolute nightmare. I can't post a picture because I don't want anyone to get a headache. It is bad, real bad. First thing this morning I was really dreading having to clean and unpack all day today. Then I realized all of us needed to bathe-it was first priority.

To celebrate that they are 5 months old (yesterday)...
The twins had their first bath together and I think, if it's possible, they loved it even more than regular baths.
William will probably hate me for this picture when he's a teenager, but it was his idea.

I had so much fun this morning bathing them. I am a lucky woman indeed to have such sweet children. I still have a lot to do, and our lives our in limbo here at the apartment waiting for our new house, but I can't help but feel so blessed and taken care of. The lesson I have learned this past year is, "you can't plan your life." It is so true, but I am glad that Someone much wiser is taking care of the planning for me, it has turned out so much better that way.
