My Sweetheart

Well, I haven't read any blogs, not even my own for weeks. It is certainly not because I don't want to participate, William has been sort of sick. You know that kind of sick where it's not bad enough to go to the doctor, just bad enough to not sleep and be cranky. To top it all off something is wrong with our furnace and our house is 54 degrees in our living room, my fingers are so cold I can barely type. Anyways...

MY SWEETHEART

What is his name? David Grant Taylor

How long have you been together? 3 1/2 years.

How long did you date? 10 months. We talked on the phone for 3 months before that (when I was at Jacob)
How old is he? 29-it's easier for me to remember his age than my own!
Who eats more? In general Dave, but at a buffet, I think I can beat him.
Who said I love you first? Dave did, after I said. "Do you love me," (I knew he had been waiting to say it because he knew it would scare me away) I think he waited for two or three months!

Who is taller? Dave is 1/2 a foot taller and he is twice as broad as I am.
Who can sing better? No question, Dave. My range is about 3 notes, and he sang for barbershop in high school-he can dance too.

Who is smarter? Well, at our house, I program the VCR and alarm clock etc. but Dave knows how it works. He understands the mechanics of things, how to put things together. He also remembers places. When he drives, for example, he will say that this turn goes this way, then there is a tree and the next turn is a slow "s" turn, or something like that. He never gets lost, he just knows the way. I do have to edit his papers for school though. Sometimes he still thinks with Portuguese grammar, which is another way he wins-he is bilingual.

Who does the laundry? Me. Dave was really sweet though to help a lot after William was born, but if I want it folded and put away-it's up to me.

Who pays the bills? Me, Dave and I make decisions about them, but I keep track.

Who sleeps on the right side? Currently, me. This changes depending on which side is closer to the bathroom. It doesn't matter where we live, we don't even think about it, but I end up near the door so I can get up.

Who mows the lawn? Dave does and loves it. He takes his time and enjoys every minute. He also shovels the snow.
Who cooks dinner? Me, I 'm home, and I have a stronger opinion about what we eat. Dave is the grillmaster, I overcook everything on the grill and Dave is amazing.

Who is more stubborn? Me, hands down. We have a rule though, that who ever cares more about something gets to choose.
Who kissed who first? Dave kissed me and I'm still shocked about it. I made him wait to do that too, apparently I like to move slooow.

Who asked out who first? We joke about this, we never had a first date. We had talked on the phone, so when we could be together, we just were together. No real dates. He never asked me out.
Who proposed? Dave did, on one knee-which I asked him not to do, but he is very traditional and in the end I was happy he did. It was Feb 11, so we celebrate valentines on the 11th. I think that's how I missed out doing this survey at the proper time.
Who has more friends? Dave does. He keeps in touch better than I do and we live closer to his friends. We both tend to make really good, close friends, but not tons of them.
Who is more sensitive? Dave is, but he's not a boob or anything. He is nicer too.
Who has more siblings? I have 5, he has 4.
Who wears the pants? I don't know if anyone wears "the" pants here, what I do know is that Dave likes Carrharts and I like sweats.
Since I'm so behind, I won't tag anyone, but I did enjoy reading everyone else's.
