A BIG project D-O-N-E (well almost)

Before...After!Another view. I would ask what everyone thought about it, but I don't really want to know, because either way we are NOT painting againg for a LONG, LONG, time!
We had so much help and it was great thanks to everyone! The funniest part about this adventure, was what William could entertain himself with while we were working, for example, learning to climb a ladder:)By the second day of painting, he could go up more than just one rung, it's a good thing we are all done, who knows what this could progress to!?William thought that a bath in a mud puddle was a fabulous idea. He was absolutely filthy, but happy -and that means a lot when we just need to finish a project. PS-this outfit actually DID come clean in the wash, so why not have fun?!We stripped him down naked to dry him off, and he got away! I love that his buns are the only clean thing on him-what a hoot.I also wanted to post some things from my yard and garden. I am realizing how much I LOVE watching things grow. Last time I did a post like this, my mom wanted an overall picture of my yard, but it just isn't as fun as this, because it doesn't look that good as a whole. I just take joy in having a pretty bunch of this or that.

Did you know, that baby lettuce looks just like grown up lettuce, only small-fascinating!
We are so thankful for our aspen trees in the heat, they keep most of our house in the shade most of the day.

This is our first rose of the summer-my favorite, yellow.

I thought this was the third rose of the summer, but when I started to look around, they are popping out everywhere!

Johnny jump ups-I am realizing these are probably a weed because they are coming up in huge bunches in my grass, but I don't care because I like them;)

Second rose of the summer.

This is one of the most exciting things to pop out of the ground, I planted bare root rhubarb in march, and have been waiting and waiting, in fact, I had given up-and ta da!

You may wonder what is that thriving, happy plant? A vicious horrible weed, that I seem to know just how to grow, ugh.

If you are ever thinking of planting dill, look at the picture above and go in on it with your neighbors, because one dill plant could supply MANY families with dill. Not pictured-the 10 or so dill starts that are popping up everywhere around my yard-I seem to have the knack for weeds.

What is this? I have no clue, but I have three big clumps of it.

Are these black eyed susans? Who knows-they're pretty.
Purple iris

Yellow and purple iris

Once again, I don't know what this is, but William thinks they are very ticklish.

I love, love my ferns!

My red hot pokers are almost there-I'm very excited!

And now for my favorite growing thing...
Dave's dad taught William to knock on our garage door-he thinks he is so fancy when he does, hence the huge smile on his face.

One of William's favorite pastimes is checking out the dishwasher. He only occasionally gets a knife:)

Here are William teeth, it was tricky to get a picture, they look so BIG.

Need I say more about my two favorite boys-they are both so, so sweet.

The house looks great! What a lot of work. Do you still have trim work to do? William looks like he enjoyed the whole project and really got involved! Good for him! The Flowers and growing things all are beautiful (except the weed patch). Grandma planted some tall purple flowers that are perennials that look like the ones you don't know the name of. I can't remember what they are called. Maybe she does. Day camp is over. It was a success. Now I need to recover at home. The maid is back!

We have LOTS of trim work left to do. We need to have someone enclose our eaves, and then we will match our trim color to the eaves, since there are probably fewer color choices in vinyl. We are currently recovering from this job at Jacob, yeah!
